Die Quelle des gemessenen Signals kann sowohl von industriellen Geräten als auch von akustischen Systemen bereitgestellt werden. Der Hauptvorteil dieses Messgeräts ist das eigenständige Arbeiten, für die Durchführung von Messungen wird kein Computer oder Handy benötigt. Alle Daten werden im Gerät verarbeitet und berechnet und auf dem Display dargestellt. Wenn Sie detailliertere Informationen erhalten möchten, z. B.  das Spektrum oder die Signalform, kann das Gerät über einen USB-Anschluss an einen PC angeschlossen werden. Der im Lieferumfang des Gerätes enthaltene NEXT-LAB SPL-Drucksensor ermöglicht das Empfangen von Werten mit einer hohen Genauigkeit von bis zu 0,1 dB. Das Gerät verfügt über einen Lab-Bus-Digitalbus-Port, an den der Drucksensor, das Mikrofon oder der Leistungssensor angeschlossen werden kann.
